Terah's father in law (randy) carved this into the red rock wall! What a cute greeting!
Chris and I went with his family and his sister Terah inlaws to Lake Powell for 5 days... It was beautiful! However we had to stay in the houseboat 80% of the time because of the dang wind then we had boat struggles and injuries. Seemed like when we'd decide the wind had died down we would attempt a boat ride and the wind would act up, if it wasn't the weather it was the boat. oh my... all you can do is laugh. We made the most of it! My favorite part was sleeping on top of the house boat under the BEAUTIFUL stars! It was so calm, cool and clear. We went on a really cool hike, watched all kinds of movies, fished, played games and just hung around family and told stories.

We just went to powell 2 weeks ago! Or was that 3 weeks ago..... hmmm...
Loved it! Slept under the stars on the top level of the house boat every night and played all day! I did not want to come home!
Peter is buying a boat this winter or coming spring... we should hook up next year and play! I have a feeling we will be heading to Powell as much as possible!
I hear the wind storms there are scary! Our friend that sells the houseboats there said at the beginning of September they had a party with 4 house boats and the wind caused a lot of damage and almost tipped his house over.....yikes......15k later the repairs are finally done!
